What to Expect When You Worship With Us

Welcome to Chesapeake City United Methodist Charge!

When and where are services during the COVID-19 Pandemic?

To keep with safe gathering protocol during the COVID-19 pandemic, we have a combined worship service (combination of traditional and contemporary) outdoors at Town Point church at 10am.  We ask that bring  your own chair, bible, mask, communion elements, hand sanitizer,  beverage to keep hydrated and remember to practice social distancing.

For those that cannot attend outdoor worship, we record and upload the service to our CCUMC Facebook page and our website.  To view our recorded Sunday's service, go to:

When and where are "normal" services?

Once it us safe to return to "normal" gathering for Sunday services, we have two services in the Sanctuary at the Trinity Church  site.  First, at 9:00 a.m. is Traditional Worship. Then, at 11:00 a.m.  is our Contemporary Service, known as "Jacob's Well".  Greeters will  welcome you and our worship bulletin will give you information about our  church.  All are welcome, come as you are and worship with us!

What's the difference between our Traditional service & our Contemporary Jacob's Well service?

The  9:00 a.m. Traditional Worship service includes Classic Hymns, Bible  Readings, a Children's Message, Prayer Time, and a Strong Message from  Pastor Mark.   Communion is given the first Sunday of each month.  All  are welcome to take part in remembrance of Jesus' sacrifice.

The  11:00 a.m. Jacob's Well service centers on the Pastor's  Message with Uplifting Praise Music from our Jacob's Well Band,  sharing from the Lord's Word, a Children's Message and weekly  Communion Service.  All are welcome to take part in remembrance of  Jesus' sacrifice.

I have children, what do you offer for them?

During  both services, our youngest guests will be invited to "His Little  Hands" - our nursery program. At 10:15-10:55, Sunday School is offered  for All Ages.

Where do I park?

We have  limited parking on-street spaces in front of the church. Otherwise,  street parking anywhere within walking distance is fine (mind the street  signs).

Where do I enter?

We have two  entrances. To enter the Sanctuary directly and/or use our handicap  accessible ramp, enter via the red "bell tower" doors to your left. To  enter via the Education Wing, choose the double doors on your right then  proceed up one flight of stairs and turn left to enter the Sanctuary.

What do I wear?

Dress  comfortably. You'll feel right at home wearing anything from shorts, to  business casual, to your "Sunday Best".  Chesapeake City United  Methodist Charge would like to welcome you.
